‼️”THE SOVIETTES were playing a LOT of shows, doing a LOT of touring, making an LP every year, which was a ton of fun. It was a great time and we were very prolific during those 4-5 years. But, Annie and I had the most similar music tastes and influences, so, we wanted to do something very raw and different. AWESOME SNAKES was super fun and really, a dumb joke.”

Caspian Coberly has quickly become one of the most popular new artists in the Pacific Northwest. His albums : ‘’Caspian Coberly’’ (2019), ‘’4st spiral thru the dream dimension’’ (2022) and ‘’Texas sex’’ (2023) have earned him a growing and dedicated audience in the region.

Caspian also plays in the Seattle-based Wipers tribute band Is This Real? formed in 2023, alongside Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Together, they’ve also released covers of KISS : “Songs For Ace” and “Shock Me."

I started attending pro-choice rallies and writing letters to newspapers and politicians sometime in 1993, right around when Digable Planets’ “La Femme Fetal” was released."

In "Peace Frog", Jim Morrison references his 1967 arrest in New Haven and the 1968 Chicago riots. He also alludes to a story from his childhood, when he and his family drove past the scene of an accident in which Native American workers had died. Morrison returned to this incident repeatedly in his songwriting, and it clearly affected him deeply.

I started writing songs that had more than one guitar part, where it wasn’t just playing the same thing. There would be one colour part that would come in and out, or some rhythmic thing that would happen when the other guitar was doing its thing. He’d just pull on the strings. There was some underlying thing going on that was almost angry. I don’t know if a lot of people set that, but I got it and it was kind of a surprise.
